How To Use Multi Mill?
- Preparation: Familiarize yourself with the Multi Mill's operating manual, safety instructions, and SOPs before starting. Ensure that the Multi Mill is clean, properly assembled, and in good working condition.
- Safety Measures: Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, goggles, and lab coat. Familiarize yourself with emergency shut-off procedures and the location of safety equipment.
- Material Preparation: Weigh and measure the material to be processed, ensuring it is within the Multi Mill's capacity. Make sure the material is free from foreign particles, contaminants, and moisture.
- Setting Up: Install the appropriate sieve or screen in the Multi Mill chamber based on the desired particle size reduction or granulation.
- . Loading the Material: Open the hopper or feed inlet and carefully load the material into the Multi Mill chamber.
- Starting the Multi Mill: Switch on the Multi Mill's power supply and start the motor. Gradually adjust the motor speed to the desired level based on the material and process requirements.
- Processing: The material will be subjected to the combined action of the rotor and the screen, resulting in size reduction or granulation. The processed material will be discharged through the bottom of the Multi Mill chamber.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: After processing, switch off the Multi Mill and ensure that all material is discharged from the chamber. Thoroughly clean the Multi Mill, including the chamber, screens, and other components, to prevent cross-contamination.
Applications of Multi Mill
-
Pharmaceutical Industry:
Multi Mills are used to reduce the particle size of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), excipients, and other materials to achieve uniformity and enhance dissolution rates in formulations. They aid in wet and dry granulation processes to form granules that are used in tablet and capsule formulations.
Multi Mills help achieve uniform mixing and homogenization of powders to ensure consistent quality in pharmaceutical products. - Chemical Industry: Particle Size Reduction: Multi Mills are used to reduce the particle size of chemicals, pigments, and additives for various applications. Mixing and Blending: They facilitate thorough mixing and blending of different chemicals and compounds to create homogeneous mixtures.
-
Food Industry:
Multi Mills are used to grind spices, herbs, grains, and other food ingredients to desired particle sizes.
They aid in the granulation of food ingredients to produce granulated mixes for products like instant soups, sauces, and seasoning blends. -
Cosmetics Industry: Multi Mills are used to reduce the particle size of cosmetic ingredients like powders, pigments, and additives for use in cosmetics and personal care products.
They help achieve uniform blending of cosmetic formulations to ensure consistent quality. - Chemical Engineering: Size Reduction: Multi Mills are used in chemical engineering processes to reduce particle size for better processability and product performance. Homogenization: They aid in achieving uniformity in chemical mixtures and compounds.
